LHISD Early Release on Friday: Panthers Heading to State Semi-Finals

The Liberty High School football team will be playing in the UIL state semifinals this Friday at 7 p.m. at the Berry Center in Cy Fair ISD! 


The ticket link for the Panther Football State Semifinals is currently not working. To purchase tickets, please stop by the Liberty Hill High School Front Office or the Administration Office (301 Forrest Street). 
Wednesday: 2-4:30 p.m.
Thursday: LH High School - 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Administration Office - 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Cash and check accepted. Credit cards are not currently available. Drivers license required if using a check. 
 

Because of a number of contributing factors, Liberty Hill ISD will operate on an early release schedule on Friday, Dec. 8, 2023. These factors include staff that will be absent from work on this day to support the football, band, drill, and cheer students that are all needed to participate in the state semifinal game. We also anticipate and encourage staff, parents, students and our community to travel to the game in order to support the football and extracurricular programs towards a victory and a berth at the state championship game.


School dismissal will be as follows: 

  • Elementary school at 11 a.m., 

  • Middle school at 11:45 a.m. and 

  • High school at 12:20 p.m. 


PantherCare and YMCA after-school care will operate as usual. Drop-in opportunities for students not currently enrolled in after-school care are currently being worked on and will be shared with parents.


Additional information: 

  • School start times

    • There is no change to school start times.  

  • School bus routes for morning

    • School bus transportation will follow normal routes, stops and times for morning pick up.

  • School bus routes for dismissal

    • School bus transportation will follow normal routes and stops for dismissal.  The afternoon times will be adjusted and parents based on the school dismissal time.  

  • Breakfast and Lunch

    • There will be normal breakfast services. Elementary schools will have a normal lunch service up until release time and remaining grade levels will have the option for a grab and go meal. Secondary school will have a grab and go lunch service. 


We are so proud of our football team in achieving this goal and hope that much of our community can show up and show out for the state semi-finals! 


*The state final game will be on Saturday, Dec. 16, at 11 a.m. the AT&T Center in Arlington, TX, so we do not anticipate having another early release on the 15th.
